Sunday Sundae: Proud to be an American edition!

FullSizeRender

5th of July: Keeping the patriotic pride going with an all-American sundae: hotoutofthefryer apple pie donut with smooth dulce de leche ice cream, sauteed apples, salted caramel sauce, and a dash of flag for garnish.

icdc is celebrating National Ice Cream month by featuring a different sundae each Sunday (it’s catching on!) for the month of July. The apple pie sundae was meant to be served with vanilla bean ice cream, but we all know how I feel about that. Also always on their menu is the ‘icdc’: a salt and pepper caramel donut with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a shot of espresso poured over. Pretty delicious (and remarkably not sweet) as the espresso basically turns the vanilla into coffee ice cream, and of course you can swap out the donut or ice cream flavor for whatever you want.

ps: icdc = ice cream donuts coffee, and is owned by bld (breakfast lunch dinner) so you can go ahead and sit at bld’s sidewalk tables to enjoy your sundae!
